Niles North SIRs
This course is intended for students who are interested in pursuing a higher-level, year long, in-depth study of a science topic of their choosing. Successful students in this course will be self-motivated and independent learners. This course will give students the opportunity to participate in the community of scientific research and scholarship.
Major Learning Targets

I can write questions that can be answered through scientific investigation.

I can design a scientific investigation to answer a testable question.

I can keep a research journal that records all of the relevant information and experiences related to my project.

I can review the literature that is pertinent to my project and summarize the relevant information into my final research paper.
